路透社報導，菲律賓今天(6日)證實，1名6月19日從杜拜來到馬尼拉的36歲外國男子，確定感染中東呼吸症候群(MERS)。

根據菲國衛生部發言人表示，這名男子是於本月4日開始住院觀察，目前有關單位正在追蹤男子的接觸史，以避免疫情擴散。

該名發言人表示，這名男子也曾經前往沙烏地阿拉伯，目前的症狀已在好轉，而且沒有任何社區傳染的徵兆。
